Imagination is one of the biggest elements in my children’s lives. We are constantly encouraging them to use their imagination and see their toys in a new way. One of my daughter’s favorite ways to play is with the characters in her favorite shows. Watching her use her imagination to develop new stories for characters that she is familiar with. The attention to detail that each of their kits contains is amazing. Recently when we were at Target my daughter found a DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free by PLAYMOBIL. DreamWorks Spirit Riding Free is one of her favorite shows and she had to get the Riding Arena with Lucky & Javier. My daughter couldn’t contain her smile as she carried her new PLAYMOBIL set through Target. The smile on her face was enough to melt my heart. What my daughter didn’t notice as I grabbed an extra set when we were walking away. I also picked the Pru with Horse and Foals.
When we got home, I surprised my daughter with her surprise toy. Once we opened up her toys, she set them up and I helped her when she got stuck building them and then she was ready to play. While she was playing with Lucky, Spirit, Pru, and Javier, I just stopped and watched her for a little while. Listening to the new adventures she was taking all her new toys on. Watching how she was using both her imagination and things she remembers from the show to create an adventure all her own.
