Medieval Times Scottsdale Review

Jan. 17, 2020

I have been wanting to go to Medieval Times for such a long time. Every time we were in Buena Park or Orlando I wanted to stop by but never got the opportunity. When I found out that they were opening a location in Scottsdale I was ecstatic. So follow along as we travel back to the Medieval Times.

When you arrive at your Castle you are greeted by lords and ladies of the castle and they will direct you where you are to proceed. At the Scottsdale location VIP participants went to the left side and non-VIP proceeded to the right. Upon checking in your party is assigned a table and knight color. We got the Yellow knight which I was so excited about. While you are in the castle awaiting your feast there is various gift shops to purchase your souvenirs and you are also able to order both alcoholic and non-alcoholic specialty drinks.

Once your feast is ready they will direct you by your knights colors as to which doors you will enter through. Once inside you will find your assigned table in your knights color. Upon settling in your server will greet you and collect your table cards. They will direct you to your napkin which also has your menu and discuss anything that might come up during your feast.

Once all lords and ladies are settled in their seats the show and feast begin. Your first course is a tomato bisque soup and this soup is loaded with a ton of flavor. I didn’t have a lot of hope for the soup but I was surprised and ended up finishing off my kids soup. One thing to keep in mind is at Medieval Time they do not provide silverware so if your dining with kids I might suggest bringing plastic silverware from home.

As your soup is poured the show also begin and you learn all about the different knights and all the festivities that will take place through the feast. As your finishing up your soup you will receive a piece of garlic toast. Again the bread is full of flavor and if your like me prefect to use to get the last little bit of soup out of your bowl.

Once your soup bowl is collected and your bread is gone you get the official start to the feast. When all the servers bring out your Roasted Chicken followed by sweet buttered corn and Herb-basted potato. The chicken is 1/2 a chicken and it is so filling. The breast meat was my favorite part and my husband loved the legs he had 3 of them since the kids only liked the breast meat. The corn was the winner among all the kids because my kids love corn. The herb-boasted potato was so delicious and cooked perfectly.

After you complete your feast you get the last piece and that is the desert of the castle. For our castle it was a soy based ice cream. It was good and came with a caramel sauce.

The kids had a blast and want to go back and have another feast at Medieval Times.
