Finding new shows to watch with the kids

Nov. 02, 2020

Thank you to BYUtv to sponsoring this post. As always all opinions are my own.

After a long day of schooling and work the family loves it unwind in the living room with a good show. That is where the struggles would begin. The kids wanted to watch something and the adults wanted to watching something not cartoon related. So for months we downloaded all the apps and tried all the subscriptions services trying to find the perfect fit for our family. Our evenings together were important to us as a family unit and we knew there was something out there. We just had to find out what it was.

Finding shows that both us as parents enjoy and the kids has always been a struggle because we were looking for certain things. It is hard to find shows that teach the kids a lesson while being something that we as parents enjoy and the kids enjoy. That reason alone is why we have really taken to the BYUtv channel. Every show we have discovered is both enjoyable by our kids and us and also leaves our kids asking new questions. I love that the shows are getting their little minds working and helping them think of new questions about the world we live in.

A show that gets inside your kids brain and causes them to ask questions is something as a mom I love. Kids are full of curiosity and I wish kids never lost that. Sometimes this is good when it is something you are discussing about what you watched. Sometimes when I am on the phone and my kid wants to know why the sky is blue and not red, their curiosity isn’t my favorite thing but I still love they are questioning their world around them.

BYUtv has so many different choices of purposeful entertainment options for families. Their shows have high production values, authentic story lines and well written content. Some of our favorite shows are Dwight in Shining Armor, Malory Towers, All-Round Champion, Relative Race, Studio C, and The Fixers. BYUtv programming is designed for the co-family viewing experience and I can guatantee you will find something your kids and you enjoy on the FREE app all you have to do it download the app today.
