August is coming to a close and that means it is
time to start planning your Halloween/fall decor. I will showcase both of my collections but I am a huge Halloween fan so that comes first. I always start by building my mantle. It is the focal point and largest part of my Halloween decor. As I shared in my post about Decor shopping tips (check here to read it) I hardly pay full price for my items. I am a huge after the holiday clearance shopper. It is the best way to get the items you want for half the price or more. Being a family of 5 and only having one supporting income I need to save where I can. So here is my Halloween mantle. Everything on here is either from the clearance the day after the holiday or purchased with a coupon or on sale. There are some items on here that I purchased at one of the dollar stores (dollar tree or .99 cent only). I consider those purchased a saving because they cost between one and two dollars each. This has been a work in progress item in my house. I didn’t get this all in one trip or even the same year. Just remember that it takes time to build and you don’t need it all at once.
