One of our favorite things about back to school is making a gift for our children’s teachers. We create something different each year and deliver it to their teacher on meet the teacher night. This year we created a pen holder for our teachers. It is important to me our gifts are budget-friendly. I purchase all my supplies at Walmart because of their cost-saving rollbacks. The one item I give each teacher is Pilot Pen G2 pens. This year G2 10pk + Bonus is on Rollback for $9.88.
To create the pen holder, you will need the following items
- Pilot Pen G2 Pens
- Popsicle sticks
- Hot glue gun and extra glue sticks
- Items for decorating
- fish tank gravel
1
(I made our base 11 popsicle sticks long)
2. After your base is laid out your, next step is hot glue two supports across all the sticks.
3. Allow the base to dry.
4. When it is dry you can begin building the edges.
5. Place two dots glue on each end and place a popsicle stick on both dots of glue.
6. Move across to the other side and continue to rotate the edges all the way up until you reach the desired height.
7. Allow the entire structure to dry prior to decoration
8. Once the structure is dry I have my children decorate theirs with the decorations I give them.
(This year my daughter wanted glitter so we compromised and did glitter stickers)
9. Once the pen holder is dry and decorated you will fill it with the fish tank gravel
10. The last step is to fill it with your Pilot Pen G2 pens.
That is it! A customized low-cost pen holder for your children’s teacher.
As I said above I give our teachers G2 pens because they are not only on rollback for $9.88 but for a variety of other reasons. Pilot Pen G2 is the #1 Selling pen brand in America (NPD, 2018). I know they are the premium choice for our overachieving teachers. G2 pens come in four-point sizes and feature multiple barrel styles. I enjoy the smooth gliding ink. Available in 27 bright and vibrant colors, you can always find the right color for the occasion.
I can’t wait to see your own customized teacher pen holder!
