Let me tell you all that it feel so great to finally be posting again. I have missed connecting with all of you. I know I didn’t say why I took a break and I can now share. I look some time of work on myself and get me some help I needed. We also took a big step and purchased our first house. It is everything I wanted in a home and more. That consumed a large part of my time over the last two months. We are now finally ready and settled in and on to our next adventure. Making our house into our dream home. We made the great decision to move the weekend of Thanksgiving and well lets say I would have rethought that plan. That is all in the past now and we are ready to look to out future.
Anywhoo back to the real reason for writing this post. With moving and watching 3 kids and getting everything adjusted I just got to putting up for Christmas decorations. We usually put up a lot of decorations but this year that wasn’t going to happen. So I wanted to share how I decided to decorate our home this year. I took the approach that less is more and I actually has turned out amazing for us. I didn’t put up every decoration and light owned. I opted to put up what is meaningful to us as a family. Here is the few tips I have when decorating for Christmas or any holiday in a rush.
- Less is always more
- Pick items that mean the most to you
- Don’t be afraid to say no to somethings
- Simple, Simple, Simple
- Only use items you have
- Don’t buy any new things with having a place already set up for them
These are just a few things I used this year because I put up all my decor 14 days before Christmas. Here is some of my decor that I put up around the house. Thanks for checking back in with me and I can’t wait to begin the new chapter in our books with all of you.
