Thank you to Party City for sponsoring this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own!
Everything looks a little different this year. From wearing and mask in store to wondering if you will get the opportunity to go trick-or-treating. We are huge fans of Halloween in our home and the chance that we might not get to celebrate the traditional way kinda brought the kids down. This new normal is the reason why I decided to bring the fun of Halloween inside this year. I wanted to give the kids something fun to look forward to and help keep their holiday spirits up.
The beginning of bringing Halloween home started with a Trip to my local Party City (Find your local store here). I grabbed my mask and heading into the store unsure of what exactly I was looking for but positive I knew I would find the right items. As I strolled the Halloween isle I was surprised at the number of different themes to choose from. From cartoonish Halloween critters to graveyards there was a theme for every occasion.
I looked down on the second row of Halloween themes and I found the perfect theme for our family. It was The Nightmare Before Christmas. This is a movie we watch at the least once a week during the Halloween season if not more. Jack Skellington is a family favorite with my kids. I picked up the following items
Jointed Jack Skellington Cutout
Jack Skellington Table Runner
Jack Skellington Pennant Banner
Jack Skellington Balloons 2ct
The Nightmare Before Christmas Lunch Plates 8ct
The Nightmare Before Christmas Dessert Plates 8ct
The Nightmare Before Christmas Lunch Napkins 16ct
The Nightmare Before Christmas Beverage Napkins 16ct
The Nightmare Before Christmas Paper Lanterns 5ct
In addition to the Nightmare before Christmas decor I got a few other items to help being Halloween home. I am a sucker for a cute balloon garland so I created one using supplies purchased at Party City. For the garland I used the following items
Black Polka Dot Balloons 6ct, 12in
Orange Balloons 15ct, 12in
Black Balloons 15ct, 12in
White Balloons 15ct, 12in
Last piece I decided I wanted to add is a Candy/Treat bar for the kids because it’s not Halloween without a little candy. So I found three cute candy dishes to hold the candy and some special candy that we wouldn’t normally get. The items for the candy bar I got are the following
Small CLEAR Plastic Flared Bowl
Small CLEAR Plastic Trifle Container
CLEAR Plastic Cylinder Container
For the candy I picked items that I know the kids would love. I love the variety of candy options and means you will find something for everyone in your family.
I got all of these items for under $80 and I was able to bring Halloween inside and give my kids a new way to celebrate in these crazy times. It was so fun shopping and picking out certain items and seeing my kids face when they seen the whole set up completed was worth it. I cannot wait to make this a new tradition in our home.
