Summer is in full swing and here in Arizona, that means it is HOT! One of my favorite ways to cool off is by making my go-to summer fruit salad. It is the perfect mix of fresh and sweet with a hit of spicy. So without more ado here is my recipe.
*I use apples and oranges primary, however, you can use any other fruits or some veggies that you would like. Some examples include watermelon, pineapple, grapefruit, and cucumbers.
If you make your own version of this dish please comment below and let me know what you think of it!
Tajin Fruit Salad
The perfect mixture of sweet and spicy to delight your taste buds. The perfect dish for your next summer gathering. So quick and easy and you can add any kind of fruit you wish.
- 3 Apples (I use granny smith's but you can use any kind you like)
- 2 Oranges
- 2 Limes (You may need more than 2 if they are not juicy)
- 1 tbsp TAJÍN® CLÁSICO SEASONING (can substitute for any other TAJÍN seasonings)
- 1 package Saladitos
-
Chop up all your apples and oranges (or the fruits that you choose to use) and mix them together.
-
Add in the package of saladitos (approximately 6-8 of them)
-
Sprinkle your Tajin on top of your fruit and saladitos and than stir.
-
Cut your limes in half and squeeze the juice over the mixture. [I start with 2 limes and add more if I feel they limes didn’t have enough juice][I roll my limes for 5-10 seconds prior to cutting]
-
Additional step – I place my fruit salad in the fridge for 2 hours or overnight depending on when I made it.
