As I said before, I am a big sucker for a quick and delicious meal. I am also one who can be stuck cooking with what is available in the kitchen. That leads to me getting creative with my dishes from time to time. My family is big fans of any style of dip. Today I will be sharing our Parmesan cheese dip with you.
INGREDIENTS:
- Parmigiano Reggiano® Parmesan cheese – I always have a wedge of Parmigiano Reggiano® on hand. We are huge cheese lovers and fresh Parmesan cheese can be used in a ton of dishes.
- Milk
- Butter
- Flavored Creme Cheese (we have used the salsa, jalapeno, and onion and chive flavors so far) the flavored cream cheese helps make it a little sweeter. Be sure to add it slowly and to taste it repeatedly.
- Salt
- Black Pepper
- Garlic Powder
optional - Bacon – diced and mixed in
- Cilantro – garnish
DIRECTIONS:
- On your stove top mix together milk, Parmesan cheese, butter, cream cheese together over a slow heat.
- Continue to mix until smooth.
- Once the desired consistency is achieved you can place it in a bowl and enjoy or add in any type of meat or any other additional items you would like.
- I top mine off with a garnish and for today’s dip, it was cilantro.
I love this dish for so many reasons. One is the possibilities are endless and you can customize it in so many ways. I also enjoy that it is family friendly and the kids love helping me make it. Last it takes less than 10 minutes to make.
