I still cannot believe that my husband and I just celebrated our fifth wedding anniversary. Where has the last five years gone? Over those five years, we have worked hard to make sure we put our needs as a couple first. Our relationship is the foundation for our family we need to keep that strong. With being a single income family and having three children we had to get creative in the ways we celebrate date night.
One of our favorite go-to date nights is when we stay at home and play video games together. This date night is one my husbands loves more than I do but relationships are all about compromise. The first thing we do is purchase our favorite drinks from the Circle K down the road.

The Polar Pop® cups at Circle K that stay cold longer is another reason I choose to shop there. I am an individual who prefers a fountain drink over a bottle or can. Meaning the longer it is cold, the better. Once we have our drinks, we head home to pick out which game to play.Recently the winner has been a go cart styled racing game or a multiplayer first-shooter game.
ow this date night doesn’t need to be done with just video games. You can use a movie as an alternative. You want something both of you can relax and enjoy together after the kids go to bed. This whole date night is low cost because we are only purchasing our beverages. We have previously purchased the gaming system and game which is not a current cost. Which makes this our cheapest date night we have.
